I am a half-Thai American-raised girl; born in Thailand in 1972 to a Thai mother and American father. We moved to the US in 1973, so I have no memory of childhood in Thailand. I am a Thai citizen by birth, which meant very little to me until recently in 2009 when my mom passed away. It then occurred to me that my kids were just one generation away from not knowing anything about their Thai heritage.

Since then I have set out to visit the beautiful country of Thailand, reconnect with family, learn to cook Thai food, attempt the language and learn all that I can about this amazing country that was once my home. I have a Thai heart and love for Thailand that I did not know existed until recently. This is my story of finding my Thai family, culture, food, language and country. I would love to share my journey with you.
